Barnabas Legacy Children's Dream Foundation

Barnabas Legacy Children's Dream Foundation is a legally registered Ugandan Not for Profit Organisation. BLCDF was founded in 2013 by Pastor Wamala Steven and a team from Katunda Pentecostal Church, Buikwe District, located in Katunda Village, Jinja, Kampala, Uganda. BLCDF is a Child Care Ministry that looks after just over 180 vulnerable and needy children in the Katunda Village area. Most of the children under BLCDF’s care have been discarded, abused, unwanted, or orphaned, although some of the children have simply come out of a situation where a parent just needed help. The purpose of BLCDF is to share Christ with the children, and while in our care, to mould them into biblically and academically educated members of our future society and to champion them in the dream God has put in their heart. The ONE who created the STARS, who calls them all by NAME (Isaiah 40:26); so too the children of BLCD Foundation, the Lord knows each by name. Every child so precious in the sight of the Lord. Every child created by the Father with a DREAM in their heart. Every child a 'STAR' in the eyes of the Lord. Zahra Foundation

Violence against women is a global problem receiving at last serious international attention as a crime and a breach of human rights and justice, Australia adopted in 2011 a National Plan to reduce violence against women and their children and in 2015 domestic and family violence are a particular focus for concerted national effort. To achieve success in reducing the extent, the degree and effects of such violence, requires all of us to be involved – governments, business, community organisations, service providers, education, sports and arts bodies and the media – and men and women individually and collectively.
