Rick is the founder and CEO of We Make A Difference.
Rick has operated his own business in the building industry for over 30 years designing and constructing home additions, renovations and new developments, Rick has developed a range of different and diverse skills including sales, sales training and management, building supervision, project management, co-ordinating teams, client liaison, business administration and marketing, highly skilled with IT and technology.
Having won HIA awards both on a National and a State level Rick has a flair for creativity and innovation.
It was Rick’s vision to reduce the everyday living expenses for families and revolutionise the customer loyalty and fundraising industry that led to the development of We Make A Difference Pty Ltd.
Rick has always had the vision of developing We make A Difference Internationally and has recently expanded the business opening We Make A Difference India based in Rajkot with a team of developers and software engineers and sales consultants to extend the fundraising component of the business into the massive Country of India.
We Make A Difference was conceived in 2010 to provide innovative new value added business at both the B2B and B2C levels
Rick has a true entrepreneurial spirit with a never give up attitude.
After working on the family farm and graduating from Roseworthy Agricultural College Alan has had a diverse career in International Development and business.
He has worked for the United Nations, Private Companies and NGOs in humanitarian and development roles in countries such as Libya, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Sierra Leonne, Guatemala, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Lao, Bangladesh and East Timor. His speciality is Community Development, Livelihoods and Food Security and he holds a Masters Degree in Community and International Development from Deakin University.
After an adventurous, challenging and rewarding life overseas he has returned to Australia and built the successful Crossroads Ecomotel in Port Augusta in South Australia and is a founding partner in "We Make a Difference .....".
Kieran has produced great success in his roles as General Manager of one of Australia’s leading Fire Protection Companies and leading the team as Bid Manager, at what is now called TPG (Formally SOUL Telecommunications).
His experience provides the background to understand the market, technology and social benefits that We Make A Difference can provide to sporting clubs, corporate and communities.
As a business owner and entrepreneur; Kieran has experienced the benefits that Traditional Business can gain when adopting an online presence and exponential growth when cross-marketing is applied.
Amit Sharma is CEO of We Make A Difference India. BE In Information Technology
He has 17 years of experience as CEO and founder at Citadel InfoTech (India) in handling company operations and management in the Information and Technology sector, including planning and performance management for his company.
Amit Sharma is responsible for day-to-day operations, as well as leading the company’s product development and technology strategy.
He focuses on empowering individuals and creating business through interrelationships. He has always taken Path to Profits, Passion and Purpose.
Starting his company with a single computer, his high dedication and passion towards work have positioned his company at the apex of success. Through his conviction, he is leading his company through the corridor of excellence.
Amit has been responsible for the development of building the unique and innovative white labelled rewards platform. Amit in conjunction with CEO and founder Rick Warren has built the entire platform from an initial concept to the most creative and innovative rewards and fund raising program in Australia.
Amit is also responsible for the development of We Make A Difference in India.
Gary joined We Make A Difference as a shareholder in December 2018 and now very excited about taking up the position of CFO in October 2019.
As a seasoned business adviser and skilled mentor with 26 years’ experience, Gary works closely with organisations and individuals to achieve their financial goals and aspirations.
Gary has an established consultancy business, Vaekst Advisory which provides services such as:
Development and implementation of accelerated growth strategies, with a focus on identifying immediate performance gains; providing management support; securing acquisition and funding opportunities; and, if beneficial, the establishment of Advisory Boards.
Structural reviews and succession planning for owners and management teams. This includes reviewing existing organisational structures, identifying keys areas for change and rolling them out in line with a strategic business plan.
Chief Financial Officer Services designed to build business resilience and drive business growth, cashflow and profitability. This can include identifying system and process improvements to drive business effectiveness & efficiency; implement strategies to improve, control costs and ensure the organisation’s finance function operates efficiently.
Prior to this role, he was a Director of Business Advisory Services with Bentleys Chartered Accountants – an international network of advisory and accounting firms with 700 staff in 18 offices across Australia, New Zealand and China.
As the company accountant for We Make A Difference whilst at Bentleys Gary understood the massive upside in We Make A Difference and the potential for the business to help and support local communities.
