Day Seventeen : The Rest Day in Streaky Bay

Day Seventeen : The Rest Day in Streaky Bay

I had a massive sleep and didn’t get up until 7.00am which is most unusual as I am normally up by 5.00 am.

I quickly got my clothes in the one washing machine before everyone else woke up, then went for breakfast. I enjoyed taking an hour and a half over breakfast, chatting with some of the group and reading the paper. It is so good not being rushed.

I met with James, my fellow Mars bar chocolate addict, for a coffee mid morning, and then Richard shouted me oysters kilpatrick for lunch. They were magnificent.

I spent the rest of the day catching up on work.

It was Veronia’s birthday, so we gathered in the front lounge bar for champagne before dinner.

I had more oysters kilpatrick for dinner with beer and battered whiting. The seafood here is fresh and fantastic.

Overall, it was a very quiet day.
